More than 90,000 fans packed central Oslo to welcome Norway’s football team home after their historic FIFA World Cup campaign ended with a 1-2 extra-time quarter-final defeat to England. The squad received a fighter-jet escort and water-cannon salute before meeting King Harald at the Royal Palace. Crown Prince Haakon later led supporters in a mass ‘Viking Row’ during the celebrations.
