FII debt inflows near $1.9 billion in June, highest in 16 months
Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have invested nearly $1.9 billion in India's bond market in just five trading sessions this month. June is on track to record the highest foreign debt inflows in 16 months after the government removed capital gains tax on FII investments in government bonds. In comparison, net FII debt purchases stood at just $2.07 billion in FY26.
