Filmmaker Sanal begins hunger strike, seeks probe into cases against him

Keralam-based filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan began an indefinite hunger strike outside the state Secretariat, demanding the release of the Hema Committee report and a high-level probe into irregularities it flagged. He also sought investigations into cases registered against him following complaints by a prominent Malayalam actress. He said the government had not acted despite repeated requests.
