Final SIR list for Tamil Nadu out, over 74 lakh names deleted

The Election Commission on Monday published the final electoral roll for Tamil Nadu following Special Intensive Revision (SIR), showing the state has over 5.67 crore voters. Over 74 lakh names have been deleted from the rolls. Tamil Nadu Chief Electoral Officer Archana Patnaik said the electorate includes 2.7 crore men, 2.8 crore women and 7,617 third gender voters.
