FIR filed after pregnant elephant dies eating explosive-filled pineapple

The Mannarkkad Forest Division in Kerala's Palakkad has registered an FIR in the death of the 15-year-old pregnant elephant. The elephant had died after it tried to eat a pineapple stuffed with explosives. The one-month pregnant elephant belonged to Silent Valley National Park in Palakkad. "Who was behind it and what happened, we're investigating," an official said.
