FIR filed over alleged toxic waste discharge into Sutlej in Punjab

An FIR was registered at City Ropar Police Station in Punjab over the alleged alarming discharge of chemical-based industrial waste into the Sutlej. The complaint, which has been filed by Ropar AAP MLA Dinesh Chadha, alleged that toxic pollutants flowing in the Sirsa river which further contaminated the Sutlej were coming from the Baddi-Nalagarh industrial belt of Himachal Pradesh.
