Fire breaks out in basement of Income Tax office in Mumbai

A fire broke out in the basement of Aayakar Bhavan, the Income Tax office on Maharshi Karve Road in Mumbai, on Monday. The blaze was confined to the basement of the seven-storey building, but smoke spread to the upper floors, prompting the evacuation of people trapped inside. Firefighting operations are underway, and no injuries have been reported so far.
