The first ever comet, 206P/Barnard-Boattini, was discovered on October 13, 1892. It was discovered by the means of photography by American astronomer Edward Emerson Barnard and was named D/1892 T1 then. 206P/Barnard-Boattini was lost after this appearance and was rediscovered by Andrea Boattini in 2008. It was later named after both the astronomers and has made 20 revolutions since 1892.
