First-ever pic of New Britain Goshawk taken after 55 years in Papua New Guinea

Fiji-based photographer Tom Vierus has captured a photo of the New Britain Goshawk for the first time in 55 years in Papua New Guinea, as per World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF). The rare bird of prey is considered a vulnerable species. "It was...a great surprise to hear...this photo seems to be the first-ever of this 'lost species'," Vierus said.
