First full brain map of fruit fly showing neural connections made

Scientists have unveiled the first complete map of the neural connections in the adult fruit fly brain, Drosophila melanogaster, a significant breakthrough in neurobiology. It details over 50 million connections between more than 139,000 neurons, providing insight into brain wiring and healthy functions. The study, published in Nature, could pave the way for mapping brains in other species.
