First IBM personal computer turns 35 today

Technology giant IBM introduced its first personal computer 'IBM 5150' 35 years ago on August 12, 1981 in New York City. The PC came at a price tag of $1,565, and was developed under the project name 'Chess'. "On this day in 1981 "The IBM PC" made our lives a lot more awesome," tweeted IBM on the occasion.
