First international cricket match started on Sept 24, 1844

The first ever international cricket match began on September 24, 1844 and was played between Canada and the USA. Canada won the match that was played in the current Test format. "Cricket was the biggest sport [in USA] in this period," an American history expert once said, adding, "Then the civil war started...the sport became a victim of that war."
