First Republic Bank was severely mismanaged: White House

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said the takeover of First Republic Bank by JPMorgan will protect depositors and ensure the banking system stays stable. Pierre said the bank was "severely mismanaged", adding that the US regulators' actions would ensure the bank would be held accountable. The collapse of First Republic has become the second-largest bank failure in US history.
