Maria Teresa de Filippis, the first ever woman to compete in a Formula One race passed away at the age of 89 on Saturday. The Italian made her Formula One debut in 1958 when she drove for Scuderia Centro Sud in that season's Monaco Grand Prix. De Filippis raced a total of four Grands Prix in Formula One.
