Fishermen rescue baby elephant swept away by Teesta River

Five fishermen rescued a baby elephant calf swept away nearly four kilometres downstream in the Teesta River. Officials said a herd of elephants was trying to cross the river, but a calf got separated from its mother near a barrage. The fishermen had been fishing when they spotted the calf trumpeting as it struggled against the current and rescued it.
