Fishermen rescue month-old elephant swept away by Teesta

Five fishermen in Jalpaiguri rescued a newborn elephant calf that had been swept nearly 4 km downstream in the swollen Teesta river after being separated from its herd. Three fishermen entered the water and helped lift the calf onto their boat. Forest officials later reunited it with its mother, who was seen nursing the calf.
