Flex commits investing $500 mn in India, may move out of China

US electronic component maker Flex is looking to shift its operations out of China and is planning to invest $500 million to expand manufacturing in India. "The company is interested in a big way in component manufacturing in India. To start with, it will be manufacturing only for the American companies based out of India," a senior government official said.
