Flight Lt Cooke, who got Veer Chakra for shooting down Pak jet in 1965 war, passes away

Flight Lieutenant Alfred Tyrone Cooke, VrC, who was awarded the Vir Chakra, the country’s third-highest wartime gallantry award, for shooting down a Pakistan Air Force Sabre jet during the 1965 Indo-Pak War, has passed away. The Indian Air Force paid tribute to him, stating, "His memory will continue to inspire generations of Air Warriors." He passed away of natural causes.
