Flipkart to acquire online travel aggregator Cleartrip

Walmart-owned homegrown e-commerce company Flipkart on Thursday announced the proposed acquisition of online travel technology company Cleartrip. Flipkart will acquire 100% of Cleartrip's shareholding and Cleartrip will continue to operate as a separate brand, retaining all employees. Mumbai and Middle East-based Cleartrip was founded in 2006 by Hrush Bhatt, Matthew Spacie and Stuart Crighton.
