The Bihar government issued a flood alert in five districts, due to the heavy flow of water into the Son river, according to an official on Saturday. The alerts were sent to the district magistrates of Arwal, Rohtas, Aurangabad, Jehanabad and Patna, after nearly three lakh cusecs of water from Indrapuri Barrage was discharged.
