Floods triggered by seasonal rains leave 50 dead in Sudan: Official

Floods triggered by seasonal rainfall have left over 50 people dead and inundated over 8,170 homes in Sudan, a senior police official said on Saturday. Sudan's National Council for Civil Defense spokesperson said that about 25 people were also injured so far this year, SUNA news agency reported. About 540 feddans (acres) of agricultural land was damaged, the spokesperson added.
