FM Nirmala Sitharaman announces creation of Makhana Board in Bihar

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, presenting the Union Budget on Saturday, announced the creation of the Makhana Board in Bihar to improve production, processing, value addition and marketing of Makhana. The board will provide handholding and trade-related technologies. It will also work to ensure farmers receive the benefits of all relevant government schemes.
