FMCG stocks lose ₹3 lakh crore in worst losing streak on record

Investors lost nearly ₹3 lakh crore in FMCG stocks as Nifty FMCG index recorded its worst-ever losing streak. The index opened in red on Thursday, marking the 14th consecutive session of decline. While the index jumped 3% on February 1 after the Budget announced tax cuts to boost consumption, it has been falling since then amid a broader market downturn.
