Football shouldn't become playground for political power: Ex-FIFA President on Balogun row

Former FIFA President Joseph "Sepp" Blatter has criticised US President Donald Trump's involvement in reversing USA striker Folarin Balogun's red-card ban. "If a US President intervenes with the FIFA President and a player is suddenly cleared before a World Cup knockout match, the question is unavoidable. Football must never become a playground for political power," he said.
