Football wouldn't exist without immigrants: Mamdani ahead of FIFA

Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani said, "[Football] wouldn't exist without immigrants. Immigrants play and coach the game...fill the stands, and make celebrations like the World Cup possible." His remarks come after US denied entry to Somali referee Omar Artan after being subjected to an 11-hour immigration interview, bringing into light US' travel restrictions.
