Foreign fund outflows from Indian equities near a 4-year high

India-focused funds saw $1.2 billion in outflows between March 5 and 11, led by $835 million in ETF redemptions, including about $700 million withdrawn from US-listed ETFs tracking Indian equities, an Elara Securities report said. Long-only funds also recorded $384 million of outflows, largest in eight weeks. In percentage-of-assets terms, this marks the largest outflow from India since June 2022.
