Foreign investors sell Indian equities worth over ₹45,000-cr in just 6 sessions of Oct

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold Indian equities worth ₹45,125.67 crore in October's first six sessions, taking net 2026 outflows to ₹3.61 lakh crore. October's outflows nearly matched September's ₹45,536.89 crore. Elevated US bond yields and crude oil prices weighed on sentiment, while domestic institutional buying cushioned the pressure. Nifty 50 has fallen nearly 14% year-to-date.
