Foreign investors sell ₹20,000 crore worth equities in 5 sessions

Foreign investors sold equities worth around ₹20,000 crore in the last five trading sessions, as per National Stock Exchange data. The sell-off comes amid escalating geopolitical tensions, delays in rate cuts, rising bond yields and the start of Lok Sabha elections. However, foreign investors remain net buyers so far this year with equities worth ₹5,639 crore purchased.
