The environment ministry on Friday said in a report that India’s forest cover has grown by 3,775 square km since 2013 to over 7 lakh square km, 21.34% of the country’s land mass. The ‘India State of Forest Report 2015’ added that 15 states and Union territories have over 33% of their geographical area under forest cover.
