Forest ranger crushed after trying to stop dumper carrying illegally mined soil in Raj

A forest ranger was allegedly run over by a dumper while pursuing it after it was found carrying soil illegally mined from a forest area in Rajasthan's Pratapgarh, officials said. Ranger Pratap Chundawat was dragged several metres along with his motorcycle before the driver fled. He later died during treatment. The driver has been identified as Kana Bawri, police said.
