Forest staff member Akash Kerketta of West Bengal's Kurseong Forest Division waved a red flag from the railway tracks to urgently signal an approaching train on the Bagdogra-Naxalbari route, halting it just in time. A video showed the train stopping safely as a herd of elephants crossed the tracks. The officer helped avert a potential accident involving the elephant herd.
