Forever chemicals seep into bloodstream through skin: Study

A study by University of Birmingham found that 15 out of 17 tested forever chemicals can significantly absorb through the skin. Using 3D human skin models, the study highlights that PFAS, previously known to enter the body via inhalation or ingestion, can also penetrate the bloodstream through skin contact. The findings come as the EU considers banning these toxic substances.
