Form 16, 26AS to be renumbered from April 1 under new IT Act

Several income tax forms including Form 26AS and Form 16 will be renumbered under new Income Tax Act that will be effective from April 1. According to draft framework, Form 26AS will be renumbered as Form 168 while Form 16 will be renumbered as Form 130. All employer-side communication will happen with new numbers subject to notifications and system implementation.
