Form panel to find reliable tests to verify if patient is 'brain-dead': SC to AIIMS

Supreme Court said it'd ask AIIMS to constitute a committee to explore reliable tests to verify 'brain death', Live Law reported. SC was hearing Kerala-based doctor's plea, who alleged that doctors declare patients as 'brain dead' sometimes without proper examination, based on apnea test, which he called subjective and not foolproof. He alleged doctors then persuade family for organ donation.
