Former DE Shaw partner fired for sexual misconduct wins record $52 million in US

A former partner at American hedge fund DE Shaw, who was fired at the start of the #MeToo movement in 2018, has been awarded record $52 million by an arbitration panel in the US. Daniel Michalow had filed a defamation complaint against DE Shaw seeking $600 million in damages. The panel also found that Michalow "did not commit sexual misconduct".
