Former Intel CEO Andrew Grove passed away on Monday aged 79. Considered as a pioneer in the semiconductor industry and the "guy who drove the growth phase" of Silicon Valley, Grove played a critical role in moving Intel’s focus from memory chips to microprocessors. Several technology leaders including Microsoft Co-founder Bill Gates and Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed their condolences.
