Former IPS officer K Annamalai, known as Karnataka's 'Singham', joins BJP

Former Karnataka IPS officer K Annamalai, popularly referred to as Karnataka's 'Singham' and 'Singham Annamalai', joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday. He joined the party in the presence of party national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao and Tamil Nadu state president L Murugan. The former Karnataka cadre IPS officer served as Deputy Commissioner of Police in Bengaluru South.
