Former Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was killed in a US-Israel airstrike on Saturday, according to media reports. Several of his close advisers and security personnel also died in the strike in the Narmak neighbourhood. The bodyguards assigned to his protection detail were members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reports said.
