Former Ireland T20I captain Gary Wilson appointed as team's head coach

Former Ireland T20I captain and current assistant coach Gary Wilson has been appointed as the team's new head coach with immediate effect. Wilson represented Ireland 292 times and retired in 2020 after a 15-year career. This comes after Ireland's head coach Heinrich Malan stepped down just one day after his side won a historic T20I series 2-0 against India.
