Former Lok Sabha secretary general Subhash C. Kashyap dies at 97

Former Lok Sabha Secretary General and noted constitutional expert Subhash C. Kashyap passed away at the age of 97. A Padma Bhushan awardee, he served as the Lok Sabha Secretary General from 1983 to 1990 and authored over 100 books on the Constitution and parliamentary democracy. Kashyap was also a member of the Ram Nath Kovind-led committee on simultaneous elections.
