Former opener SS Das appointed India Women's batting coach

Ex-India opener Shiv Sunder Das has been appointed as the batting coach of the Indian women's cricket team ahead of their tour of England. "I'm really looking forward to it," said the 43-year-old. Das played 23 Tests for India between 2000 and 2002 and scored 1,326 runs. Earlier, the BCCI appointed former off-spinner Ramesh Powar as the team's head coach.
