Former Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi wins Jalandhar LS seat

Former Punjab CM and Congress candidate Charanjit Singh Channi has won the Jalandhar Lok Sabha seat with 3.9 lakh votes. The state's first Dalit CM has defeated BJP candidate and sitting MP Sushil Kumar Rinku by 1.76 lakh votes. Rinku had left AAP and joined BJP ahead of the polls. Meanwhile, AAP candidate Pawan Kumar Tinu received 2.08 lakh votes.
