Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin’s grandson disqualified for headbutting in CWG boxing bout

Ugandan boxer Aziz Abdul, grandson of former dictator Idi Amin, was disqualified from his men's 90kg+ quarter-final against England's Damar Thomas at CWG 2026. World Boxing said Abdul was removed in the third round for "use of the head" after receiving two earlier warnings. Notably, in 1972, Amin had expelled around 80,000 Asians, largely of Indian origin, from Uganda.
