Fossil of earliest known predator named after historian David Attenborough

Scientists have named the fossil of the earliest known animal predator after the renowned historian Sir David Attenborough. Named Auroralumina attenbouroughii, the 560-million-year-old fossil was found in Charnwood Forest near Leicester. The first part of its name 'Auroralumina' in Latin, refers to "dawn lantern", concerning its great age and resemblance to a burning torch.
