Fossils of pre-dinosaur era crocodile-like reptile found in Brazil
Fossils of Parvosuchus aurelioi, a small crocodile-like reptile from the Triassic Period, were discovered in southern Brazil. This predator, about three feet long, lived 237 million years ago, preying on smaller reptiles. The fossils include a complete skull and various bones. Parvosuchus, part of the extinct Gracilisuchidae family, was previously known only from Argentina and China.
