Found no merit in taking Jet Airways' Boeing 777s: Air India

Air India has decided not to pursue its plan to take five Boeing 777s from Jet Airways. "The engineering unit has done their work around the B777s and found no merit in taking them," an airline official said. The national carrier's proposal to take the aircraft was earlier discussed between Air India Chairman Ashwani Lohani and SBI Chairman Rajnish Kumar.
