Foundation of quake-resistant building laid at Vaishno Devi

Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik on Friday laid the foundation stone of a five-storey earthquake-resistant building at the Vaishno Devi shrine in the state. The building has been planned to meet accommodation demand of pilgrims visiting the shrine. The estimated cost of the project is ₹50 crore and it will reportedly provide accommodation to around 4,000 pilgrims daily.
