Foxconn apologises for 'technical error' in hiring at China plant after clashes erupt
After violent protests broke out at the world's largest iPhone factory in China, Foxconn on Thursday said that a "technical error" occurred when hiring new recruits and apologised for it. While some workers complained they were forced to share dormitories with COVID-19-positive staff, others protested about overdue pay and COVID-19 restrictions. Several videos of the clashes also surfaced online.
