Foxconn plans to set up $1 billion display assembly unit in TN: ET

Foxconn plans to invest $1 billion to build an assembly unit for smartphone display modules in Tamil Nadu, ET reported. The first such facility by Foxconn in India will primarily cater to Apple but will also be open to other manufacturers like Pegatron or Tata Electronics. Foxconn has reportedly picked a 5,00,000 square feet area in Oragadam for the unit.
