Foxconn removes marital status from iPhone job ads in India after controversy

Apple supplier Foxconn ordered hiring agents for recruiting iPhone assembly workers in India to remove age, gender, marital criteria and the manufacturer's name in job ads, Reuters reported. This comes months after Foxconn was accused of rejecting married Hindu women over "cultural issues" and concerns their jewellery could interfere with production, leading to the government questioning Foxconn.
